THE SECRET SAUCE
The theory behind behavioural interviewing

BEHAVIOURAL INTERVIEWING ...
The best predictor of your future performance - is YOUR past performance.
Your behaviours are linked directly to YOUR competencies.
As a job candidate you may be required to draw on real-life experiences to explain how you tackle various issues - so be prepared and pull together at least three and write them down.

-
"Please provide an example of a time when you had to work with someone who was difficult to get along with?"
-
"In what way was this person difficult?"
-
"How did the relationship progress?"
-
"What did you learn from the experience?"
-
"Give me an example of a time when you had to analyse an established work process."
-
"What were the problems?"
-
"What were the solutions?"
-
"What was the result of your work?"

What the interviewer is looking for is how accurately you state the situation, how well you outlined your situation.
Behavioural interviewing is a great way to test your verbal skills and communication, so prepare ... and prepare again.

Preparation Is Key

To prepare, write out any relevant key questions outlined and rehearse the answers either to yourself or a friend - as long as you talk out loud.
Go through your resume, scrutinise all social media profiles: LinkedIn, Facebook etc, delete all irrelevant, unprofessional social media posts and refresh your memory about your professional history.

With your interview preparation, you can own the next role you have earned!
